Riley's first Halloween was a blast! This morning, we had the opportunity to dress up in that sweet pea costume for a play date in the neighborhood. Riley was by far the youngest there, but I think she enjoyed listening to the other toddlers playing, as she slept like a gem. She woke for a diaper change and just enough time to check out the other boys and girls, but then napped again until the stroller crossed the threshold of our front door. Somehow I just knew she was happy to be home!
The two of us spent the afternoon just relaxing and opening some very special mail. Riley received her very first piece of mail just the other day...it was a Halloween card from Nana, Gramps and Aunt Ashley. It was a cool card that even sang the song "Ghostbusters".
After dinner...milk for Riley and pizza for Mommy and Daddy, JD set up camp on the front porch, so we would all be nice and comfy as we greeted the trick-or-treaters. We decided against putting Riley in the pea costume again, as she was much cozier in her BOO onesie and pants. She was still cute as can be, and grabbed all of the neighbors' attention showing off with holding her head up so well and standing up on our laps. These are two of her favorite new activities.

From the looksof it, it was a real treat for the trick or treaters to come to your house because they are the ones that got the treat by seeing you Sweet Pea. You are so adorable. It looks like you had a really good time. Next year you will be toddling along getting your treats. Yous have a really good time next month when Daddy gets to stay home with you.
