Mrs. T!

After a rough beginning on Monday, with Riley's upset tummy and trip to the doctor, the remainder of the week was smooth sailing.

I can only imagine how different this past week would have been, had we not had such a wonderful offer from Tricia to babysit our little sweet pea. I can still remember the day we went to visit the original daycare that we were planning to take Riley to once we returned to work. It was a beautiful, brand new daycare, minutes from home, with very caring staff...but when we visited for the first time after it had opened, something was missing. JD and I decided that we just wanted something different for our baby...at least until she was a bit older. So, we posted an inquiry on our neighborhood email group, and that is how we found Mrs. Tricia.

We must have had our guardian angel looking out for us, for when we met Tricia for the first time, we had no doubts what-so-ever. We knew Mrs. T was the perfect fit for Riley. She is very sweet and loving and takes care of Riley, as if she is her own. It's so comforting to know that Riley is in a home daycare with such a wonderful family!

It is a relief to have week one of daycare under our belts. I can honestly say, there were few tears shed, as we know Riley is safe and happy. Don't get me wrong...it is hard to spend the entire day away from our sweet baby, but as Grammy says...it's not about the quantity of time spent together, it is the quality of time. We take that to heart and make the very most of our morning and evening hours together as a family.
