Fiesta

To celebrate Fiesta, we headed downtown to the oldest historic district in the state of Texas for the King William Parade and Fair. What a fun Fiesta event!
We found the perfect spot to set up on King William Street, in front of a beautiful historic home decorated especially for the event.
We all love watching the parade entries. There were so many different types of groups, from bands and school groups to various community organizations. We saw a few different fire trucks and even two Tundras pulling some floats. The group decked out in their "Cats" costumes were the most amazing!
A little boy that was sitting next to us gave Riley one of his cascarones (confetti filled eggs...a tradition of Fiesta). We waiting until the end before cracking it over Riley's head!

After the parade, we had a few munchies, then headed to Brackenridge Park for a train ride.
This time around, Riley was wide awake for the adventure aboard.
She was amazed with the ride...looking all around the park as the train traveled along.
Today was the perfect day full of celebration. We are very fortunate that Aunt Mary and Grammy had time to spend with us in San Antonio!
