Spring Break!

With the first official day of Spring just around the corner, schools in San Antonio were celebrating Spring break this past week. Unfortunately the weather showed no mercy, as a last minute cold, rainy weather front passed through the area. The good news...we desperately needed the rain. So, we retired the shorts and capris for a bit and broke out pants, jackets, blankets, and socks (at least when Riley would keep them on).

The Bradley Family had extended family in town to visit for Spring Break...and Riley enjoyed meeting the bunch! Who wouldn't enjoy some extra TLC. She especially enjoyed playing ball with Grandpa and showing off what a good eater she can be at lunch time! The Grandma's were amazed how much she loved red peppers, and the sweet potatoes and chicken have become a big hit!

To allow the Bradley's some family bonding time, JD and I, both scheduled a day of vacation to stay home with Riley. JD took Monday, and I was lucky to have Friday. What a treat to sleep in on a rainy Friday morning and wake up to a smiley sleepy head!

Although the weather kept us inside most of the day, we enjoyed some bear hugs from "Sammy",

and cuddling up with some favorite books.

When Daddy arrived home, we did sneak out for some soup at Jason's Deli, then ran by Target for a few things. Riley was such a big helper, as she sat in the cart, although she must have had the wiggles somewhere along the way, for I know we left with two socks to keep her piggies warm, but arrived home with only one!
