Hayes will be 9 months in just two weeks, and Riley doesn't trail by much (5 weeks later), but they are right about the same size and into loving a lot of the same things. Hayes is much quicker than Riley rolling around to get to her favorite toys. Riley...still scooting backwards...aiming for nothing in-particular.
After dinner, the girls enjoyed sitting at the table with us checking each other out, reaching for each other's hands,
and noses,
sharing in some baby talk, and exchanging smiles.
Hayes even shared some of her Organic Puffs...cereal like pieces that dissolve - hopefully in baby's mouth.
A little unsure at first, Riley seemed to catch onto the fact that it was okay to put these in her mouth by the end of the evening.
Daddy has already added these to the weekly grocery list, so Riley can practice feeding herself some more in the coming weeks.
