Sleepy Head!

I guess you could say that Riley was just simply pooped today, as all she wanted to do was sleep, sleep, sleep! She went to bed last night at 10:00 p.m., slept until 4:30 a.m., then back to sleep from 5:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. She stayed awake from 8:30-10:15 a.m., then the rest of the day she slept and only woke up to eat about every 3 hours, until finally getting up at 5:15 p.m. JD and I even tried to wake her at one point, so he could spend a bit of time playing with her before heading to work.

We managed to get a peek, but not much more...

...until we put her in her crib. For some reason, Riley is not sold on napping in her crib. Of course, when we put her down to nap, we didn't take the extra steps to swaddle her either. We figured that since she was sleepier than ever, we would try and lay her down without a swaddle to start breaking the habit. Within minutes the blanket was kicked off and Riley was wide awake (that is until she was picked up and cuddled...then, it was back to dreamland)!

I think all of the excitement from so many wonderful visitors has just caught up with her...along with the change to some fall-like weather. Today we started the day in the 60 degree range. This made for a chilly morning for walking, but I made sure to bundle Riley up before heading out. The wind and cool air, didn't seem to keep Riley from a peaceful nap along the way!
