Rain, Rain, Go Away

It has been raining for days here in Ooltewah, which has put a damper on our outdoor fun. So, today, we headed downtown to the Discovery Museum after a quick visit to the gym. Riley took a cat nap in the car, so was geared up when we arrived. We ate a bite of lunch at the Dino-Cafe, then headed to the one and only...Little Yellow House.

Since it was early afternoon, it wasn't crowded at all. Riley's favorite spot...the kitchen. I think she could spend the entire day in the play kitchen with all that there is to explore. Occasionally I will take her to other places, but somehow, we always end up back in the kitchen. Perhaps she will be the next Paula Deen!

The fridge was filled with baskets of play food and had lights that would go on and off as the doors would open and close, just like a real fridge.

Riley finally figured out how to open and close the oven door, while putting food in and out. This was no easy feat, as it is very heavy and doesn't stay open on it's own. Thank goodness she only got her arm stuck once.

The best new discovery of this trip...the button to start the dishwasher. When you push the button, it sounds like a dishwasher is running. When the sound would stop, Riley was right on the button to start it up again.

This will be one membership that will pay for itself over and over again. Hopefully, some of our new friends that we have met at The Little Gym will be able to go with us.
