Since it had rained all day Friday, and the sun didn't shine on Saturday, the ground was still rather muddy in places. So, before we hitting the hayride out to the pumpkin patch, we checked out all of the other fun the farm had to offer...starting with Daddy's and Riley's favorite spot...the petting barn.
Check out the excitement on Riley's face as she is squealing at the baby calf.
She loved helping her Daddy feed the pygmy goats kernels of corn.
After visiting with the pony, donkeys, baby chicks and ducklings, we checked out a toddler rope maze (since Riley is way too little for the big corn maze), and fun hay bail decor, before loading up on the tractor pulled hayride to the gigantic pumpkin patch.

Thanks to all of the rain this year, this is the best crop of pumpkins the farm has experienced in 12 years...now if only is would stop raining, so we could get out and enjoy the farm and other fall activities without all of the grass stains and muddy shoes. Riley didn't seem to mind, as she ventured right into the patch searching for her favorite pumpkin to take home.

"This is it!"
"This is it!"
"Or maybe this one...but it's a bit heavier. I might need both hands to haul this one outta here!"
and headed out. Just teasing...we only had hands to carry one for each of us. Soon to be on display for the fall holiday season.

Well Riley...I think you are the cutest pumpkin in the whole patch!

Aunty Christine
Hia Sweet Pea, Looks like the pumpkin patch was a great place to go and also had a great time. Can't wait to see your decorated pumpkins, the whole wagon full of them. I bet if you could have you would have taken them all home with you.
Love, Grammy
