We were all kids at heart in Imagination Junction...a giant kids interactive play area.

Riley loved the Thomas train ride so much that she rode it three times...once with Grammy, Aunt Mary and Mommy.
Friday was more action packed than ever. In the morning we stopped in at Grammy's workplace, so she could show off her new Grandson and her Sweet Pea to her co-workers. Then, we drove down the street to one of the best parks in Ohio...Miami Whitewater (I actually had my high school graduation party at this park many moons ago). They now have a spectacular splash park, which was the perfect destination for fun in the sun.

Grammy hung out with Zachary in the shade and waited for Aunt Mary to arrive with lunch.
After lunch,
we headed home for a much needed nap, and to await the arrival of Uncle Chris, Aunt Cindy and Ethan. Riley was so exhausted, she was fast asleep in the car before we were out of the park.
Zachary loved meeting his Aunt and Uncle and took in all of the excitement of Ethan and Riley as they played together Friday evening.
In celebration of Uncle Chris' birthday, the kids munched on rice krispy treats, while I went to the airport to pick up JD, who flew to Cincy to spend the weekend with us.

Saturday, Zachary met his Great Grandma Goldsmith for the first time. Great Grandma is 92 years young and has 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
While we stayed cool in the AC all day, the rest of the gang took Riley and Ethan to their first amusement park...Kings Island.
Riley was only tall enough to take on a few rides...the carousel
and an airplane ride...both which she really wasn't sure about. On the carousel she would get on the horse, then off the horse, then on and off. The airplane...she was okay with until the ride started, then apparently screamed the entire ride. Ethan, of course loved it and rode it a couple of times. When Riley saw Ethan on it a second time, she wanted on again. However, when JD took her on, she stepped aboard, then immediately exited the other side!

The biggest hit for everyone, since it was one of the hottest days of the summer...the water park!
Sunday, it was time to hit the road back home. It was a long trip (8 hours), as Zach was awake and fussy during the last half. As much fun as get-a-ways can be...there truly is no place like home!
