The biggest help with our new routine has come from our big girl Ry, Ry. For the past two weeks, we have worked with her on putting herself to sleep without one of us laying down with her. The new tuck-in with special kiss routine has been a lifesaver...she loves it and it has worked like magic to get her to sleep on her own. Of course, we now have to tuck in and kiss her lovies (Elmo and Turtle) too, but so be it!
(This is how we found Riley one night, when we checkedonher before hitting the hay ourselves. She went to bed with the socks on her feet, but apparently, she took them off to play sock puppets! Ha!)
To celebrate Riley's new bedtime independence, we headed to Chuck E Cheese bright and early Saturday morning. We thought she would love playing games and riding some kiddie rides...games - okay, rides - not so much...
While Riley displayed her bitof "OCD" behavior and fixated on two games the entire trip (Fishing and Ski Ball),
Zachary made for a superior coin holder.
Oh...Did I mention that Daddy probably had the most fun of all??? He is such a big kid!
