Being away from Riley two nights in a row was tough, so we decided to forego another night in the hospital, to get home to our Sweet Pea and begin our new life together. The first night was rather rough, as Zach would not sleep without being held (we think this was from the pain of the circumcision). This put JD and I both behind the eight ball, as far as sleep was concerned...which led to mostly a blur of our first few days together. All I can say is TGFG...Thank goodness for Gigi!!!
Gigi was our lifesaver the first week. She was up with the sun and didn't go down until Riley was fast asleep each night.
She cooked just about every meal for us,
entertained Riley,
changed diapers,
did laundry, and cleaned our entire house...and, yes, she still managed to squeeze time in for her new grandson.
AMAZING!
Thank you Mom and Gigi for taking such good care of us. We will miss you!
