Holiday VW Style

The VW family holiday party was a great way to kick off the Christmas season. It was held at the Coker Tire Museum, which is home to many old time cars and bicycles, but nonetheless was decked out with plenty of Christmas cheer.

It was fun to see many of JD's co-workers and even some of our friends that we have met at The Little Gym. The food was yummy...yet would you guess that Riley could hardly sit still long enough to enjoy? She was easily distracted by not only great holiday music, but also a stunning red-nosed reindeer. Although she started dancing with Rudolph form a distance, she continued to creep closer and closer until she was dancing right along with the infamous reindeer. And then, she fell in love...she didn't want to leave Rudolph's side...constantly looking around for him all night long. She even let Rudolph hold her for a little while...probably because Rudolph let Riley keep playing with his big red nose!

The party was perfect, with tons of kid friendly entertainment...holiday choir, face painting, balloon artists, a trailer full of video games, a coloring table (where Riley was working on hoarding fistfuls of crayons),

and even Mrs. Claus with her pet bunny.

We all had a great time. Riley was especially energized all night long, hardly wanting to sit still anywhere, not even our arms. So, by the end of the evening, we were all ready to go home and enjoy some R&R.

It looks like you had a great time at your first Chrsitmas party. Did you dance w/Rudolph? We will have to work on his song for next year so that you can sing it to him. I know that he would love it. You take care and be good for mommy while daddy is gone becasue Rudolph and his boss will be to see you in just a few more days.
Love Ya Sweetie and mommy too.
