Zachary continues to be such a happy baby...giving away his million dollar smiles and giggles to just about anyone who will stop and chat with him.
At Five months Zachary:
- Sleeps 9 hours straight at night and is moving towards 2 solid naps a day, with a few catnaps in between...and often is caught sleeping like he is sunbathing at the beach...with his hands behind his head.
- Sits unassisted for short periods of time.
- Enjoys the food that he has been introduced to, including: peas, pears, applesauce, rice cereal and green beans.
- Is quite the roly poly...immediately rolling from back to front when lying on his back. He still can't quite make it the other direction.
- Has become quite the babbler...mostly blowing raspberries and drooling all over himself.
- Has the sweetest giggle, especially when you tickle his armpits, inner thighs, or ribs. He tries so hard not to laugh out loud, then when he can't hold it in any longer, he will laugh until he can't breathe anymore and his face will turn red (like his Mommy).
- Loves his sister Riley and watches everything she does! (Yikes!)
- Chews on his fingers and hands like crazy...hopefully due to teething...but thankfully, does not suck on his thumb.
- Is growing way too quickly...already outgrowing many of his 6 month Carters outfits (some before he has had a chance to wear, as the weather has been abnormally warm this year).
- Still looks just like his sister Riley, when she was five months, but definitely has more hair than she did.
- Has discovered his toes, and likes playing with them, but hasn't tried to put them in his mouth yet. I'm actually not sure he could get them there with his ever growing tummy...it might just prevent that!
- Likes playing in his exersaucer and absolutely loves his squeaky Pooh Bear.
- Enjoys being read to and reaches for the pages of the books now.
- Is so very laid back, except when he is hungry or when completely off schedule from lack of good naps (which can only really take place in his "Little Lamb" swing...yes, he is addicted, and I can't say I blame him, because it is the coziest looking swing ever!). He can be so quiet and seems to enjoy just watching everything that goes on around him. Hmmm...quite the opposite of our sweet 2 year old.
