Happy 3 Months Zach-a-REE!!!

A day late on the wishes, but probably for the best, considering yesterday was Friday the 13th!!! Happy 3 months to our Zach-a-REE, as Riley often calls him.

Zachary...at 3 months:

• You melt our hearts with the sweetest smiles ever! I LOVE that you are a smiley baby. You smile when we make eye contact with you, when we talk and babble with you, when we tickle you...you seem to smile all the time...yet it can be tricky to catch this on camera, as you will fixate on the big lens when the camera comes out.
• You make the sweetest cooing sounds and have started to giggle some too.
• You have started blowing spit bubbles and drooling enough to start soaking the front of your shirt, just under your chin.
• You are mesmerized by the sailboat mobile on your crib. It plays the tune "Hush Little Baby".
• You Will only nap in your car seat or swing...sometimes for 3+hours at a time. Just like your big sis, you will not nap in your crib...but we are okay with this, for you are a great sleeper at night in your crib. At night you sometimes still wake up once during the night.
• You now hold onto rattles and other small toys and will chew on them.
• You hold your head up very well, but are still a bit of a "bobble head".
• You can sit in your Bumbo chair for short periods of time.
• You are getting better at tummy time, lifting your head in all directions. However, you often wiggle to keep one arm straight back, like you are preparing to dive into the pool (which I think is for balance).

Your favorite toys: Baby Einstein...Your eyes light up, your arms and legs get to flying and you make squealing noises, as you get so excited to see the lights and get the ball and star shaking.

Books...You love to hear stories and seem to study the bright pictures.

At 3 months Zachary...You have brought a new ray of sunshine to our lives and we can't imagine a day without you.
