New Bed

This weekend we ran our first trials of Riley sleeping on the trundle of her new bed.
Her Saturday afternoon nap went well...1 hour 45 min. and she hardly budged while snoozing. Notice her new cuddle buddy...baby (or rather naked baby...and yes...it has to be this specific baby...no other will due).

Saturday night, she woke up twice...12:30 and 4:30 a.m. She did her usual tossing and turning through these periods and it probably felt strange having a bit more freedom than she had with the bumpers on all sides of her in the crib.

Sunday, again Riley did well with a good nap and waking only two times during the night for a few minutes each. However, there is a new pattern that is developing that we need to tackle a.s.ap....ma-ma-ma syndrome...Riley only wants me to cuddle with her to put her back to sleep. Although flattering, ma-ma-ma needs to catch some zzzzz's.

Although it will be a while before we can see Riley falling asleep on her own in her new bed, JD and I think she did great for her first time sleeping outside the crib. I guess we are officially moving Riley into her new stomping ground, as we finish the nursery for Zach. We are hoping the move now, will help with the transition when Zach arrives.

Look at you asleep in you new room and your new bed. How lucky are you. It is so pretty. Wait until Mommy gets the flowers on the wall it will all be complete then. You know there is nothing like snuggling w/a dool baby or a stuffed toy when you are sleeping. Watch out Daddy and Mommy someday you will get up and she will have Zach in there with her.
