SNOW DAY!

What does a dusting of snow and below freezing conditions amount to??? Icy conditions that lead to numerous school closings, including Riley's daycare for a day and a half. JD took off early on Thursday to pick Riley up and spend the afternoon with her, while still juggling a few conference calls. Friday, we were soooo fortunate to have our very good friends, Courtney and Lauren volunteer to keep Riley for the entire day, so both JD and I could go to the office. Thanks Court...You and Lauren are our lifesavers!!!!

So, after sunrise Friday morning, JD took on the morning routine, including tackling Riley's hair, before heading across town and up the mountain to the Stephenson home for a fun day of play with her good friend Lauren. The girls had a ball playing together, looking at books, talking on the "phone" and of course...dancing.

Courtney was completely organized and ready for lunchtime with two toddlers. How cute!!! Of course, Riley loved checking out their dog, Belle, while snacking away. I wonder how much food little Belle was lucky enough to find around the two chairs???

Naptime...a sweet success according to Courtney (unless she left out any details). Riley held Courtney's hand, walked straight to the little travel tent, crawled inside with a book, and within a few minutes, was sound asleep all on her own. Hmmmm...why doesn't Riley do this for us when home on the weekends together???

What a day! As usual, I am always so happy to see my Sweet Pea at the end of the day and today was no different. It was just a nice change to pick her up and spend some time catching up with Courtney at the same time.
Thanks again Courtney and Lauren for coming to the rescue. We hope you had as much fun as Riley!

Thank You Lauren and Courtney for taking care of Little Sweet Pea and helping Mom and Dad out in a tight situation. It looks like the girls had a great time. Oh and how cute little Lauren is. Hope they stay BFF.
