Thanksgiving Weekend

JD and I have so much to be thankful for...the sweetest baby girl ever and wonderful family and friends. We had a super trip to Indiana for Thanksgiving weekend, despite the 6 hour drive early in the morning. Our turkey dinner was oh so delicious...although Riley wouldn't know, since she wouldn't eat a thing...not even apple pie ala mode!

We enjoyed getting out on Black Friday to spend time with Grandpa.
Breakfast and playtime must have been good, because once we left, we weren't in the truck 5 minutes, before Riley was out cold.
This gave me a bit of time to hit one shop at Kenwood Towne Center before picking up our favorite LaRosa's Pizza for dinner.

It was great to spend Saturday morning lounging around before heading to our cousin's home for a Thanksgiving dinner with extended family. Riley helped make Grammy's infamous lemon meringue pies...or at least helped with some taste testing. Then, after naptime, we hit the road for an evening with the whole gang of cousins, aunts, uncles, grandmas and Riley's Great Grandma. Riley was in heaven in our cousin's playroom, for there were so many new toys to explore. She must have worked up an appetite from all the play, as she did eat a decent dinner...of course who could resist Aunt Bevy's meatballs...YUM-O! It was good to spend time with the whole family and celebrate Christmas a little early with Great Grandma Goldsmith.

After dessert, we headed out, as we decided to drive back to Chattanooga overnight versus waking super early in the morning for the dreaded drive. Thanks Grammy and Aunt Mary for a fun weekend in Bright, Indiana. Riley had a ball at your house playing hide and seek, climbing in Aunt Mary's chair,
playing with Elmo and the dancing flower, and of course...digging through my purse over and over again.

*More pics to come as soon as Aunt Mary sends them our way!

Love,
JD, Karen and Riley

Boy, did we have a good time when you and mommy and daddy came home. I think when you get the big sister/girls room you should get a chair just like Aunt Mary's.
You look so darn cute sitting in there.
Love Ya Bunches Sweet Pea,
