Is it the Weekend?

This is the question that Riley has been asking herself for two days. Yesterday Daddy had the pleasure of staying home, and today, I am home with our little sweet pea. Unfortunately, Mrs. T. is a bit under the weather with a fever and other flu-like symptoms. Thank goodness she let us know, so we could hopefully prevent Riley from catching the "bug". Of course, we do have a back-up plan, for instances like this...we have Riley on the drop-in list at a nearby daycare (the one she was originally signed up to attend)...but we just didn't have the heart to take her to a brand new place, with all new faces for an entire day. So, JD and I are taking turns hanging at home with Riley - and what a nice mid-week treat it has been!

Daddy must have played hard with Riley yesterday, and really wore her out, because little Miss Sunshine slept through the night, without a peep to be heard, and didn't want to budge this morning. So, I gave her an extra half hour to enjoy her sweet dreams!

Then, we played, read a few stories, then practiced some yoga - as Aunt Christine and Cindy refer to some of Riley's moves.

Mid-morning, we headed out to run a few errands - which is so much easier to do in the middle of the day, versus during the evening rush after work hours. As you can see...Riley enjoyed the playing with the shopping bag.

We spent the late afternoon, practicing the infamous crawling stance. She doesn't have the coordination to move forward yet, but she is holding herself in this position longer and longer each day. Practicing on a bed is much kinder to her sweet cheeks when her arms give way and she ends up on her face.
We invite anyone wanting to play a little hookie away from work, to come join us anytime!
