Riley had a great Friday today! Campbell joined her at Mrs. T's today, which meant some extra bit of fun. The girls rolled around together and played, until they both were just tuckered out. This helped them both to catch a good afternoon siesta...which is not always among Riley's favorite activities. At night, Riley will go down 98% of the time without any kind of battle...But when it comes to nap time...the percentage is not quite as high! I believe she just doesn't want to miss out on anything. So, often times, she will practice using her lungs in protest of the much needed rest. Fortunately, we all have our little tricks that will often soothe her into a state of slumber...singing to her, walking while holding her with her head on our shoulder, turning the exhaust fan on in the bathroom to create white noise, and the latest...wrapping her up like a taco in a blanket and laying her on her side (which Mrs. T. discovered).
Naps are an essential part of Riley's day. A good long morning nap and another in the afternoon, guarantees the SWEET in our little sweet pea. Sometimes, if she naps long enough in the afternoon, then she can go without a short evening nap, giving JD and I more time with Riley.
Riley loves playing with all of her toys...
but anything that Mommy or Daddy have, are often sought after for playtime too...like my belt.
Water bottles, hangers, spoons, phones, and even Daddy's socks...all make for fun times. Riley is very playful and brings so much joy to our lives each and every day!
