Zachary declared that he wanted to play basketball, and fortunate for us, the YMCA had a winter league starting up for ages 3+...oh the excitement when we told him. Of course, I just about missed registration...but a guardian angel was watching over us and found a kind soul to grant a late addition.
Zachary was thrilled to go to his first practice...and even though he was the smallest on the team...he was amazing! He listened to his coach, followed directions, waited patiently for his turn, and had a great time.
The team is made up of 3-4 year olds, and they play with a six foot goal.
At their first practice, they dribbled, practiced shooting baskets, ran laps, and even played offense and defense. Zach had impressive skills for his first organized sport. Can't wait to see him in action at his first game in January.
What a team...heart, soul, and team spirit!
