HAPPY EASTER!
Surprise...the Easter Bunny did make it, despite the rain!
Smart Bunny...only left the eggs where we could reach from the path of the sidewalk.
Easter goodies...
For Zachary...Skylanders, bubbles, a new "construction" plate and silverware, Pez and Bunny PJs. For Riley...A funky apron, Legos, bubbles, Pez and matching Bunny PJs.
Our family was fortunate to have some pre-Easter celebrations with family over the past few weeks. In mid-March we headed north to Grammy's for a weekend with Aunt Mary, Aunt Cindy, Uncle Chris and Ethan. First adventure...the circus!
| Two's company...three's a crowd...thus a pouty Z-man! (no worries...nothing a couple of boxes of popcorn would not cure) |
In the morning, the kids were thrilled to find the amazing Easter Bunny stopped by, decorating Grammy's home with the most colorful eggs (smart bunny...considering it was flurrying outside).

The egg hunting tradition at Aunt Amy's is quite extensive. We divide the kiddos into age groups, which is only fair. The youngest are most entertaining, and love to hunt every egg, and would hunt the same eggs again and again.
Then, the little ones, get to help hide the eggs for the big kids. Zach and Daddy schemed some pretty tricky spots, but nothing Kody couldn't conquer.
Last, but not least, the adult egg hunt. We always have high hopes that one of the eggs is holding a big winning lottery ticket...this year...Jamie took the prize...$10 bucks.
To burn a little extra energy before the long ride home, the girls took us down the street to the neighborhood park, which was fantastic! There was great playground, equipped with a play set, twirly slide, teeter-totters, monkey bars, and swings galore...all situated along side a nice creek.
Perfect end to a perfect day!
